WARRI—GOVERNOR Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta State has advised All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate in the last governorship election in the state, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor, to accept defeat and support the governor-elect, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa. While speaking at an interactive session with newsmen in Warri on APC complaints over the outcome of the election, he said: “I know Emerhor as a respectable man.
“But it was obvious APC was not on ground for the elections. If you look at Emerhor’s complaints, you find that he does not even have a clear picture of the true results. “What he stated for Warri South-West and all the results he declared are different from the actual results or figures INEC declared. “If I have the chance to meet him, I would advise that the best thing for him is to congratulate the winner or he goes to the tribunal. He even came out a distant third.”
Uduaghan said he would want to be remembered for a number of milestones he scored in his eight years in charge. He said: “I think people from different background, interests or locations would remember me for different reasons “The woman who now has strong confidence in safe delivery in public health facilities through the free maternal health services will remember me for that. “Those living in Avenue would remember me for the dualized Avenue Road, same for those in Refinery Road.“
