THE immediate past deputy governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Nsima Ekere, has attributed the widespread support and popularity he is enjoying in the gubernatorial race to the grace of God.
Speaking during the monthly fasting and prayer meeting of the Akwa Ibom Consolidation Project, AKCP, Ekere, said it was obvious that it was the grace of God that was responsible for his acceptability and steady frontline position in the race.
Commending members of the group for turning up enmasse for the prayer meeting each month, Ekere charged them to remain steadfast and prayerful till victory was achieved.
He urged them to be vigilant and resourceful to harvest from their months of hard work in the countdown to the gubernatorial primaries of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, next month.
In his sermon, Apostle Patrick Jerome, Prelate of Christ Believers’ (Evangelical) Mission, Uyo, said that it was only a person ordained by God that will become governor of Akwa Ibom next year.
