Ado Ekiti Fed Poly shut over students’ protest

By Gbenga Ariyibi

Ado Ekiti—The management of the Federal Polytechnic, Ado Ekiti has announced the indefinite closure of the institution.

The decision of the management to close down the school may not be unconnected with the protest staged by the part-time students of the institution over what they described as incessant hike in school fees.

According to the statement made available to newsmen in Ado Ekiti yesterday by the Public Relations Officer, PRO, of the institution, Prince Ade Adejolu said the management was meeting the students Representatives Council with a view of finding solution to the impasse.

The students were said to be protesting the hike in school fees which was increased from N9,000 to N34,000.
