Ex-militants leaders in Delta State, yesterday, wrote a letter to Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan asking him to give Dr. Ngozi Olejeme a chance to succeed him as the next governor of the state in 2015.
The ex-militants, through their leader, Egbene Monye alias Blacky, in their letter written after a general meeting held at Okerenkoko, declared their preparedness towards Delta State governorship primaries of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
The letter read in part: “We, hereby, write your Excellency, asking you to allow Dr. Ngozi Olejeme to succeed you because she is a woman of difference and a mother who feels the pains of Deltans and cares for the people irrespective of ethnic nationalities.
‘’There are women who have ruled successfully as presidents in countries such as, Brazil, Liberia and others. We believe that what a man can do, a woman can do better. So Dr. Olejeme should be given a chance to prove to the whole state that she is the messiah Deltans are looking for.”
