Jos—Effort aimed at curbing the rising cases of land and water use in Plateau State received a boost yesterday in Jos, following a workshop organised by the Nigeria Stability and Reconciliation Programme, NSRP for stakeholders working for the resolution of the issues in the state.
During the workshop, participants were exposed to the techniques of using dialogue mechanisms in reducing grievances especially between herdsmen and farmers among other residents of the state.
In his opening remarks, the Programme Manager of NSRP, Dr. Ukoha Ukiwo said the workshop was aimed at supporting stakeholders in managing conflicts peacefully to reduce the negative impacts of violent conflicts.
