Eagles job: Count me out, says Oliseh

Former Nigeria captain Sunday Oliseh has blatantly turned down pleas to consider managing the Super Eagles national team.

Oliseh who captained the Nigerian national team for over six years, said that he would want to live long, inferring that taking up such job could shorten someone’s life-span.

The former Borussia Dortmund midfielder said that he would rather contribute from outside than take up the full time job of leading the team.

Oliseh also noted that his qualified for the task, adding that it is only the attendant pressure that scares him.

“So many people have been asking me , why don’t you go and Coach the Super Eagles? I want to live long” Oliseh said.

“ In as much as I know I’m very much qualified for it, I love my Country and the proof of this abounds, but I’ll rather share my experience and allow my thoughts and knowledge reach a vast majority.”

Presently, Nigeria is without a coach, with Stephen Keshi voicing out last week that he was set to be offered any deal by the NFF.
