Omeruo shines in Middlesbrough win

Super Eagles defender Kenneth Omeruo returned to the Middlesbrough starting eleven and played all 90 minutes as his club defeated Charlton 3-1 to keep up with their promotion chase.

The 21-year old was impressive at the back for ‘Boro, and stayed off the referees book for the entire duration of the match, even though manager Aitor Karanka wasn’t very pleased with their first half display.

‘’Boro went ahead in the first half through an early lead by Patrick Bamford in the 6th minute, but conceded a 37th minute equalizer, and went into the break at 1-1.

And Karanka believes the goal they conceded helped his team get in the game.

“The worst thing was to score and the best thing was to concede because we needed to wake up and play the way we can and we did that in the end,” he said after the game.
