Harrison Okagbue, a former Coach of the Cranes of Uganda, has advised the Super Eagles to expect a tough match in its friendly with the East Africans in Uyo on Wednesday. Okagbue, who coached the Cranes from 1999 and 2001, told the newsmen in Awka on Tuesday that the game would be an emotional one for him and a battle between his head and his heart.
He said that both teams were dear to him and he looked forward to a tough match. Okagbue said that the Ugandans were very technical and took football very seriously in their country. “I hope to see the relics of the legacy I left behind. The point is that I left a legacy in Ugandan football; l bet you that Uganda coming to play against our national team will be a match to watch.
“I know how serious Ugandans take football and they will give a good account of themselves. Although it is a friendly match, I know that they will want to put their teams to test; I expect to see a highly technical game. “The Super Eagles must be ready for a tough game, but more importantly, I want them to play in all cordiality,” Okagbue said. He called for consistency and focus by players and the Nigerian bench as Super Eagles play the cranes at the Akwa Ibom International Stadium.
