Dr Okeize Ikpeazu of the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) has won the Abia gubernatorial election.
He polled 264,173 votes to beat his rival, Dr Alex Otti of the APGA who had 180,882 votes.
Total votes cast in the the election was 462,684, while 9,440 votes were rejected.
