Some PDP chieftains worked against Jonathan’s re-election —Sen Adokwe

By Johnbosco Agbakwuru

ABUJA—SENATOR Suleiman Adokwe, representing Nasarawa South on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, said that some chieftains of the PDP in collaborating with the opposition All Progressives Congress, APC, worked against the re-election of President Goodluck Jonathan.

Senator Adokwe in an interview with journalists in Abuja, decried what he described as institutional conspiracy by ranking members of the PDP at the federal and state levels in connivance with the APC to ensure victory for the opposition party.

He said that President Goodluck Jonathan suffered an unprecedented betrayal by his party members adding that he also suffered the same betrayal by his closest friends in the senatorial election he contested for on March 28.

He said that the conspiracy against President Jonathan and the PDP even included non-politicians who did everything possible to stop the party.

“I maintained that there is a complete institutional conspiracy to shift the government from the PDP to the APC at all costs,” Adokwe said.
