Lagos – The Secretary of the Nigeria Boxing Federation, Olusola Luke, said on Monday that the ongoing renovation at the boxing gym of the National Stadium, Lagos would be completed soon.
Luke said in Lagos that the renovation was progressing well.
He said that the deplorable state of the boxing gym had been affecting the training of amateur boxers.
“As you can see the job is almost done, the stress of going outside the state to train will soon ease out.
“After the completion of the renovation, training and preparation for major championship will be done at the gym.’’
Luke said that boxers training for the World Championship in South Korea were currently in camp in Abuja.
He said the boxers would be moved to Lagos for further camping as soon as the gym was completed. (NAN)
