President Goodluck Jonathan’s carnival-like declaration at the Eagles Square in Abuja to seek the mandate of the good people of Nigeria for a second term in office may have come and gone.
But the razzamatazz which spiced up the event would linger in the minds of Nigerians.
And one of those artistes who electrified the occasion was the ‘Elegant Stallion’ Onyeka Onwenu (MFR). Onwenu, who is now the Director-General of National Centre for Women Development, NCWD, was among the top musicians who made the declaration a colourful event.
She thrilled the gathering with one of her songs, Run, Goodluck, Run, which she recorded and released in 2011 in support of Mr. President’s electioneering campaign.
