The Accord Party, AP, candidate for Delta North senatorial district, Mr. Victor Ochei, has urged Anioma people to vote for the re-election of President Goodluck Jonathan and to ensure Senator Ifeanyi Okowa emerges governor of the state in the forthcoming general elections.
Ochei, former Speaker of Delta Sate House of Assembly, at Obiaruku and Ashaka, during his consultation visits to Ukwuani and Ndokwa East Local Government Areas, said President Jonathan had acquitted himself creditably and that Okowa’s achievements, as a senator, provide justification for his emergence as the next governor of the state.
According to Ochei, who promised to bring dividends of democracy to Delta North if elected senator, “I was inundated with overtures of support from several groups to run for the governorship on another party against Dr. Okowa. But I realised that such a venture would backfire as Anioma votes would be split.”
