ASABA—A House of Representatives candidate on the platform of Accord Party, for Ndokwa/Ukwuani federal constituency, Delta State, in the March 28 elections, Prince Azuka Agbidi, has said that he did not step down for Mr Ezenwza Anigala.
Agbidi, in a chat with Vanguard, alleged that his name was fraudulently substituted by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
Alleging that Mr Anigala, deposed in an affidavit forging his signature that he (Agbidi) had stepped down for him, he insisted: “I am the rightful candidate of the Accord Party for the House of Representatives election in the Ndokwa/Ukwuani federal constituency.”
Calling on INEC to disregard the said affidavit and reinstate him as the candidate of the Accord Party, he said “I am ready to prosecute the matter should INEC fail to do the needful. This is a clear case of wrongful and fraudulent substitution and it is unacceptable to us.”
