South Africa’s crack squad for the 2015 CAF African Youth Championships next month will cause problems for Ghana as the Amijita are blessed with hugely talented players.
South Africa Under-20 coach Thabo Senong announced his final 21-man Amajita squad to take part in the tournament in Senegal with several players plying their trade in the country’s top-flight.
Three foreign-based players who are hugely talented have been named in the team with talented striker Tyroane Sandows playing for Brazilian side Gremio.
The two others foreign-based who will play for the team play in Portugal are Tlotlo LEEPILE and Pule MARAISANE who all play for Tourizenze FC.
There are all expected to pose difficulties for their opponents particularly Ghana who are expected to top the group.
Senong has called up two players who are regulars for their clubs in the PSL – Morne Nel from SuperSport United and Dumisani Zuma from Bloemfontein Celtic – as well as Brazil-based striker Tyrone Sandows.
While these players are are regular players in the PSL, the rest are all affiliated with top clubs in the country even though they are yet to be first team hitters.
The Under-20 tournament begins on March 8 in Senegal and the South Africans have been paired alongside Ghana, Zambia and Mali.
