ASABA – AS at 9.30 am, there was calm at INEC offices at Asaba and Akwukwu Igbo, Oshimili South and Oshimili North Local Government Areas in Delta State respectively as the commission distributed election materials to ‎the different electoral officials, closely monitored by party officials.

Party agents who spoke to Vanguard at Akwukwu Igbo and Asaba said the exercise was going on smoothly and from INEC offices, they were heading to the polling stations to track the materials.

The Benin-Asaba expressway was barricaded by policemen and the presence of security men, including soldiers was noticeable.

Some citizens at Atuma, Otulu communities, however, went to their farms, saying they had no time ‎to waste in voting for people who do not care about the common man when they ascend power.
