Abuja – President Goodluck Jonathan and President-elect, Gen. Muhammad Buhari (retd) met behind closed doors Friday in the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The meeting, the first between the two leaders since the Presidential election which saw incumbent President Jonathan losing to the opposition leader was said to be a private meeting.
General Buhari had indicated during his acceptance speech that he would meet with Jonathan in the ‘next few days’ ostensibly to streamline the transition process.
