Owoeri’s goal fails to lift Atvidabergs

By Solomon Nwoke,
Nigerian striker, John Owoeri, got among the goals in the Swedish top flight for his club, Atvidabergs FF but it was just insufficient as they lost 2-3 at home to Djurgardens IF.

Owoeri’s goal in the second half gave Atvidabergs a 2-1 lead before their opponents scored twice to claim the full points at the Kopparvallen on Monday.

Daniel Berntsen’s goal in the opening half proved enough to allow Djurgardens go into the break with a one-nil lead.

Whatever it was that Atvidabergs FF head coach, Roar Hansen told his troops in the locker room at the break paid off but just for just the first 16 minutes of the restart.

Two minutes into the second half, Kristian Bergstrom levelled matters for Atvidabergs and just a minute past the hour mark, Owoeri put his team 2-1 up.

However all of that hard work was blown away by Atvidabergs FF as Zimbabwean striker, Nyasha Mushekwi scored two minutes late to put score at 2-2 and then he got his second of the game five minutes to the end.

Owoeri has weighed in with four league goals for Atvidabergs this season as sit in 14th place in the 16-team Allsvenskan.
